About Dalton UKS
United Karate Studios is the creation of Ben L. Kiker. Mr. Kiker was the student of two Korean nationals. Over forty years ago, Mr. Kiker received instruction from Jae Mann Lee at Reinhardt College in Waleska, Georgia. Mr. Lee is a Master of many martial arts, one of which is Chang Moo Kwan. Over forty years ago, Mr. Kiker received instruction from Jae Mann Lee at Reinhardt College in Waleska, Georgia. Mr. Lee is a Master of many martial arts, one of which is Chang Moo Kwan. Following instruction from Mr. Lee, Mr. Kiker was instructed by Jung Kil Moon. Mr. Moon moved into the home of Mr. and Mrs. Kiker shortly following their wedding. Mr. Moon trained Mr. Kiker daily in exchange for room and board. Both Mr. Lee and Mr. Moon were students of Grandmaster Nam Suk Lee, the first President of Chang Moo Kwan established in Seoul Korea. Mr. Kiker opened the first UKS in Dalton and shortly thereafter opened a UKS studio in Ellijay. For nearly fifty years UKS has been a formidable martial arts presence in the South Eastern United States! Recently, Mr. Kiker has shown his willingness to continue his training and dedication in the martial arts by earning dan ranking in the hapkido / tae kwon do / kuk sool based martial art... Han Mu Do. UKS practitioners have available to them instructors who have proved themselves worthy competitors, practitioners, and instructors in Chang Moo Kwan Tae Kwon Do, kick boxing, American open tournament point fighting, and Han Mu Do grappling arts. The United Karate Studios Nation wide pride themselves on the high moral character and Christian ethics required by all students and instructors within the system. One example of this is the requirement that all students quote from memory Psalm One on their black belt test, and on every dan rank test thereafter.

United Karate Dalton represented well at the Southern Open Nationals with several grand champions, lots of first, second, third, and fourth places in all events. UKS Dalton also had several State Champions on the GMKC circuit.
